Great news! I don't think there has been any work which has superceded what iGov achieved. It's a fabulous resource.
Great to see the IGov website has been reinstated. It’s a fabulous resource for energy regulation, networks, energy transition etc. Particularly insightful on how everything fits together and needs to be considered holistically rather than silo mentality
For anyone making a submission to the Ofgem Review (end date 28 Feb) key IGov documents are available on a new site igov.exeter.ac.uk it is a gd source of references to show how lax Ofgem has been in dealing with key regulatory challenges. It also sets out solutions for a fit for purpose regulator.
I hadn’t heard of Daniel Herskedal before I saw this post but I’ve had the album on repeat all day #tuba #brass

Only 2 months since I posted this and it’s looking like I’ll be taking unpaid leave in the new year to see out my mother’s final months. Hopefully I can claim that £81.90 a week to provide 24/7 end of life care 😔 But providing dignity in dying shouldn’t mean putting families in financial ruin 🥹
I’ve worked from home for 4 years - my official office is 500 miles away and I have full time responsibility for a 91 year old. So yeah if you make me go to the office I’m going to end up unemployed and on carers allowance of £81.90 a week 🤷🏻♀️
If high energy bills are the new normal, then might retrofitting our homes also become common practice? Not without some joined up thinking it won't. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
High gas and electricity prices likely to be the new normal, analyst says
The energy price cap is predicted to edge up by 1% from January, according to analysis by Cornwall Insight.

So many times reply guys on X told me that heat pumps “don’t work” in old buildings. I invited them to my 144 year old house in Oxford. Nobody ever took me up on the offer so I share this virtual visit instead. youtu.be/z5k7qj84nQQ?...
