I met Gloria Steinem in 1993 at a book signing in Seattle. I was 22. I got a signed book and the chance to thank a legend for all she had done to create a better future for me and all women. I'm sad she witnessed so much of her work being undone, but will always be glad I got to thank her in person.

Question for Bluesky: An ARC reader of FALSE FLAG pointed out my inconsistent spelling of "dox" sometimes I have 2 Xs and sometimes just one. Doxxed, doxed, doxxing, doxing... etc. All are technically correct, but I should be consistent within one book. Preferences? How many Xs looks right to you?

If I wrote a book where a police officer on a small island kept closing all the missing person cases for years by telling family the person didn't want contact, and then they were found dead so the officer excused themself by saying they closed the cases to avoid a workload... what would you think?
