Not my OC

Two screenshots from "A Fish Called Wanda," the first of which is edited into a meme.

Panel 1: Kevin Kline as Otto says "conservatives don't watch Star Trek"

Panel 2: Jamie Lee Curtis responds, "yes they do, Otto, they just don't understand it!

In the film, Kevin Kline's actual line was "apes don't read philosophy."

Ceremonial Bliss

The artwork shows a wedding party. The room is decorated with tiles and patterns and has a long table in the center where the attendees of the party are seated. There are dancers in the foreground, some broken plates, bowls, bottles, apples and eggs on the floor. There is a donkey standing in the center of the room. The donkey was gifted to the wedded. There are musicians behind the dancers. One is playing a domra and another one is playing an accordion. There are dishes and bottles on the table. A child is holding a flower while eating an apple on the left side of the image. A man is giving a toast. A woman next to him is looking at the man while holding a rooster. The bride is wearing a white dress with her face covered with veil. She is holding flowers. The broom is standing next to her with a sword in one hand. Another woman is looking at a man who seems to be a little tipsy. Half of the characters are skeletons and half are humans. The artwork is mostly red, green and blue.

Here is your Tuesday Tiger Beetle, I think a Western TB, Cicindela oregona. Tiger beetles pursue prey in a start-stop way, because they run so fast that they must pause to let their visual processing catch up with their feet - literal blinding speed. (Forward-facing antennae also help.) 🐙🌿 #insects

A macro photo, side three-quarter view, of a tiger beetle on top of a light-colored rocks. The beetle stands tall on long, thin, stilt-like legs and holds its antennae straight out. It has large, dark compound eyes and lots of white hairs on its underside and legs. Its body is beautifully metallic, showing hues of green, turquoise, blue, orange and copper-brown with cream spots on the wing covers.

On vacation, but was asked to doodle a Spinosaurus! This isn't meant to be 100% accurate, nor is it proportional, but I did decide to go with the aquatic body plan because I love how it looks

A pencil drawing of an unspecified Spinosaurus species with its tail curled to the side.

Love these little F-14 fighters (Limochores mystic, the long dash skipper, feasting on joe pye)

A small compact butterfly, rusty orange in color, with two pairs of wings held in a position reminiscent of an F-14 Tomcat fighter. The butterfly’s long black tongue is out. as it feeds on a joe pye flower.
