These are dead books, destroyed on an industrial scale. I grew up in Germany and there are few images of facism from the 3rd Reich that have endured like the book burnings did. Not sure who destroyed more art and knowledge. I'm not being cute here or using nazi comparisons as hyperbole. /1

This is so heartwarming! 🥲 It feels like there's been a big shift in recent years with more players coming out to support the workers who make the games they love, and it's incredible to see.

We can add a seventh location to today's #SaveOurDevs march: Tamriel! Elder Scrolls Online fans organized just like we did and marched to support the ZeniMax Online Studios team. Thank you so much! ❤️ youtu.be/jPFIu5i3xxM?...

Friend of mine who has a QA job at a big corpo game studio was worried they'd get laid off when their project was cancelled. Instead they got offered a move to a programmer position, with the studio paying for their training. In my 15 years in the "indie" industry I've never seen anything like this

Workers need to resist our own dehumanization, and part of that is emphasizing the real human cost of management's decisions, the grief we experience for the loss of our colleagues, projects, etc. You can't build a company on "passion" and then punish people for having feelings.
