Yesterday we were at the creative team talk for ”The Mad King” play! In this thread we’ll post a summery of our notes. Note: the talk was made to be able to watched before seeing the play, so there were no direct spoilers. We’ll therefore not add spoilers even though we’ve now seen the play.

Stef is the best and is so kind, they picked me up near the airport and drove me all the way to our apartment near the theatre, now @ragmanspod.bsky.social will join us tomorrow and the real fun begins.

Many of us here are heartbroken at the loss of this Gaulish treasure, and outraged that, once again, museum underfunding is causing such a heist to be possible Thus torque is irreplaceable, it is (or was?) our finest heritage of a time long gone before the Roman Empire showed up in what’s now France

2,500-year-old gold torque stolen in daylight museum raid! Thieves raided a museum in Châtillon-sur-Seine in broad daylight Friday, making off with a 2,500-year-old gold torque of the 'Lady of Vix'. 👉 www.lefigaro.fr/culture/patr...

It was a really fun episode to record, especially because we don’t normally do much theorising. So we did *a lot* of it (and refrained from overly revolutionary takes on the future of Westeros) (we could have!) (maybe next time) (when we’re not focusing on characters)

New episode! This time we discuss the Stark kids’ futures! Will Jon be King in the North? Will Sansa be Queen in the North? Will Arya ride off into the sunset? Will Rickon die due to lack of zig-zagging? And will Bran create the Westerosi EU? www.patreon.com/RagmansPod/p...

English note for @ragmanspod.bsky.social which is intended as pun-enhancing rather than disparaging your command of my native tongue: “Coney” 🐇rhymes with “honey” 🍯, which is why we have “bunny”: because “coney” was considered indecent given its similarity to “see you next Tuesday”.

I have been deprived of my sweet knight in episode 3, but that won’t stop me from talking about him! Although I talk a lot about meta stuff, such as the Feast/Dance type geographical split and what it may mean for ep. 4. But worry not: it’s a Sweet Knight Report❣️ www.podbean.com/eas/pb-yg99x...

Did you really think I wouldn't find something to say? Feast/ Dance have taught me one thing: there is always something to say <3

We’re joining the hype and talk about episode 1 of season 3 of House of the Dragon. Where we discuss how Sheepstealer is a cat, but also our feelings about the gendered power dynamics Rhaenyra and Alicent has to face. And of course what we thought about the Battle of the Gullet (and much more)!🐉⚓️⚔️
