Ramblers Scotland has had a long-running dispute with North Chesthill Estate - they are hoping a new petition will bring an end to the debate.

📢 We've been granted £40k to work with local people to breathe new life into The Drumchapel Way, a circular walking route in Glasgow. The cash comes from the UK Govt Pride in Place Impact Fund, delivered by Glasgow City Council. The 5-mile loop visits many green spaces, woods and nature reserves.

Just to take the WHW as an example, it's worth ÂŁ30mil a year to the economy, introduces many first time visitors to Scotland who return but is left to deteriorate dreadfully in parts. Lauded internationally what they must think of us on encountering those first miles up to Gartness.

We joined a big crowd braving the rain at ScotLINK's Stand Up for Nature demo at Holyrood yesterday, alongside dozens of campaigning charities. A chance to show MSPs just how much nature matters to Scotland’s people. We'll keep reminding politicians: access to nature is right, not a luxury!

Congratulations to all involved with the ÂŁ300k restoration of An Teallach's scenic mountain path. As Mountaineering Scotland say, this fantastic project illustrates the urgent need for a Scottish Paths Fund to support the nation's trails, especially as walking tourism is worth ÂŁ1.6billion annually!
