Game Dev, UX, Speedrun, and esports enthusiast. I tweet too much about RPGs/MMOs. I like to mess around with cooking, archery, skateboarding, swimming, and music. https://www.fiverr.com/josh_dewolfe/ for GameDev tutoring He/Him.

idk man, I just feel like the world is better with fewer content creators in it Do we really need infinite talking heads giving us level 0 takes? It's just so hard these days to find anyone saying anything of actual worth these days The internet is cool, but increasingly the true path is disengage

When the great Bsky exodus happened back in the day, I always kind of said I was kind of waiting for the corporations and such to move here to see if it was "real" or not At any rate - "Buckler Gym" looks like "bug killers"

Feeling the urge to replay Breath of Fire IV again I only replayed it a couple years ago, and I know 3 is the game that everyone talks about But BoF4 is just sick, man. Like, I LOVE BoF3. But 4 is just so good, even by modern standards. NO BS, just 5/5 JRPG

I am so tired of waking up to the sound of 7am jackhammering. First it was every balcony in my building. Then it was ripping up both sides of the sidewalk. Now the road... I appreciate they need to replace the pipes or whatever, but in another hour they'll all be quietly digging dirt, so why 🥲

This is the kind of thing that makes me fear for society. Like, it's kind of crazy to think that the more successful a thing is, the less secure it becomes. Can't we just live in a society where we love things, and celebrate them without trying to exploit other people and get ahead?

Meccha Chameleon's Discord was breached on the same day some of its Steam Workshop maps were discovered to contain malware. https://bit.ly/3Tre1ew

It took until 2026 but WoW players are finally asking for another "Cataclysm" Lots of people thought changing the old world was heretical - I always thought a world that changes and evolves was the point of an MMO. I thought it was hype when Griftah got kicked out of Shattrath!

I think I am slowly becoming the angry old man, but hey, it seems like it works 😅 I yelled at a dude biking on the sidewalk, and he moved over to the road for as long as I could see him I yelled at a dude who didn't pick up after his dog, and he came back later to pick it up Shame is powerful :)

Years ago I ripped all Quest 64's music data and applied modern soundfonts (my goal was to upload a full "orchestral" OST to youtube). I decided to add little jokey animations to each track, but I got carried away, which doomed the project to never be completed. Here's the battle theme.

Quest 64 messes me up. You're telling me its a good great game with really cool ideas, and even some solid execution in the engine itself. With lots of lore and nice environments. Then it absolutely fumbles it all in a way that sticks out fondly to everyone that grew up with it.

I was a little worried I wasn't prepared for my gamedev student today, but the lesson turned into "Unity UI 101", and like I challenge you to find anyone who is better at putting a bunch of Buttons in a VerticalLayoutGroup
