Gooool for TELEMUNDO who not only refuse to run ads during the mandatory hydration breaks, but also straight up just announced that hydration breaks are necessary because of dangerous heat caused by fossil fuel-driven climate change. Bravo Telemundo. #worldcup #futbol

With 93 traffic deaths last year, it's clear Mayor Johnston isn't prioritizing street safety, but his new $5 downtown parking scheme—actively encouraging people to drive to go drinking—goes beyond unconcerned to downright dangerous. Instead of paying $5 for parking, consider the following:

“there are some small number of activists who believe the purpose in urban design is to make it miserable to drive a car. That is not our strategy” I feel like throwing my cars keys at this quote. He has it wrong. People want to make it easier to make other choices. denverite.com/2026/06/29/d...

How (and why) Denver’s mayor got private parking lots to set $5 prices

The “Mayor’s Park $5” program will drop rates for 5,000 privately owned spots.

tfw when your mayor highlights drinking and driving as a benefit of subsidized parking downtown, on an ozone action day ”it’s a win for everyone“ 🤦‍♂️

#AdventOfCode Day 9 part 2 definitely threw me today. So much for bragging about the runtime of naive algorithms and JavaScript as “good enough”. A hackish memoized somewhat brute force solution, after several attempts, finally competed in 15 minutes. Phew!
