Flip the script so that what's extreme is requiring people to buy a $50,000, dinosaur-juice-burning, 6000-lb machine to take the kids to school or get a gallon of milk... ...while riding a $5,000, 70-lb bike powered by a combo of a trickle of electricity and your own two legs is just normal.

This thing is possibly my favorite major purchase of the last five years. Clicks on and off the mount, which also quick-mounts on the bike, and it converts to a handcart to go into stores. I heart it SO much

There exist traffic engineers that would see this and their first instinct is to remove the barriers. I wish that wasn't true. I wish they didn't believe a "clear zone" was available so drivers could more easily strike human bodies.
