I burned 30-minutes of quality time with my dad attempting to get the TV and cable remote working together again after the cable box updated. He still hasn't figured out the new command sequences. I am so tired of tech companies changing shit for the sake of changing shit.

My Monday in technology: Turned on work Windows machine to find that Microslop installed an update. Took 15-minutes to spool up. Google Home and YouTube Music quit working together and there was no way to pause a Chromecast stream My 94 yo dad's cable box updated and changed the remote's controls

Hard for me to express exactly how burnt out and fed up I am as a teacher/professor in the age of gAI as our institutions pretend nothing is wrong with this scale of cheating (32 out of 35 students in this professor's course) and administrators listen only to tech companies and AI pushers
