You can become disabled or chronically ill at any time. You can become homeless at any time. They aren’t moral failings. They are minority groups that anyone can join. When you lose your health, your finances often follow. Very few people are the “exception”

I agree with this one! The book I'm currently pitching went through easily 20+ drafts before I settled for the manuscript I currently have. First drafts aren't meant to be perfect - it's meant to be riddled with flaws, full-on messy and helps lay down the groundwork for the real story afterwards. 👍

Thank you so much to everyone who shared & reposted both of my #SFPit posts earlier! I haven't been paying much attention to any pitching events for the last few months, but I decided to give this one a go since it's almost impossible to sell a science fantasy novel these days. Until next time! 🌺

Dear friends, writers, #agents, interstellar travelers, interdimensional aliens, and otherwise paradoxical time hoppers! We would like to invite you to set your favorite time-traveling device to October 21st, 2025, for the pitch event dedicated to Science Fiction, #SFPit! 🧵

This is so random, but if you are the author of A WOMAN NOBLE, please find your QM submission to me and send me a message? I'm trying to read manuscripts that have offers on them and I cannot find this on in my queue ANYWHERE, yet I added a reminder that a decision is due soon. I feel so stupid!

Must we still write to the current tastes/trends in the market, or can we still write the way we love about the things we love, even if those books might never 'fit' what readers want out there? I have so many stories I wish to write, but I'm afraid they'll never be loved as they are. #amwriting
