@thirdfloorwars.bsky.social question... I'm looking to get into a CoC or DeltaGreen online game. What would be your advice?

Star Wars fan since 1981. Wheel of Time fan since 1993. TTRPG fan since AD&D 2e. Lover of Horror and Lovecraft. Host of Hilltop Horror podcast (currently on hiatus).
The only #starwars show I think was just bad...was Boba Fett. There was no reason for that show to have been...what it was. Acolyte was uneven (both in story and acting) but it had story potential, conflicted jedi, and awesome saber battles.
Now that Kathy is transitioning out, it's time @infinata.bsky.social ...for my big pitch! Let me tell the story of 20K years ago: The Great AI Slop Saga...where the GFFA is trust into chaos and war as everyone is attached to galactic social media and have fried their collective minds. 🤔😉👍
#starwars Sometime in the next decade, a group of fans is going to make a complete version of the EU Thrawn trilogy. 😆 youtu.be/SGJC4Hnz3m0?...

My #strangerthings5 finale score is 8.5/10. The show overall had some missteps I feel started with how S3 ended..and it hampered the storytelling and pacing. Emotional pay off for characters - 9.75/10 Big Battle - 7.5/10 Effective use of secondary baddies - 1/10 Wrapping up lore - 6.5/10
I've decided that I will be restarting my reread(audio) of #thewheeloftime instead of finishing the last 75% of book 14. It's been over a year since I started my reread and...I feel like don't need to dwell on the ending. I think I'd rather go back and visit the beginning
for the holidays: I went blog mode on my modern Star Wars pet peeve: people quoting Kylo Ren like he’s right kotaku.com/star-wars-la...

Got me a #strangerthings #dnd theory. In S5 they have reached high level play and the DM can no longer sufficiently put them at risk. They have a fortress (the radio station). They have hirelings (Murry, etc). They can avoid the physical impediments (tunnels to move where they want at will).

So what's are the chances the Rey movie is called "The First Jedi"? 😆
I want a #starwars #strangerthings collab where we see what happens when the Mind Flayer's Dimension X collides with the GFFA. EU NJO Jedi vs Mind Flayer? ...yeah, I know...Abeloth... 😉
A team of investigators from Ravenhearse University have uncovered a dark secret. What are they willing to sacrifice to uncover a truth best left hidden? Find out in Murmurs at the Abyss, a Call of Cthulhu #ttrpg #ActualPlay. www.happyjacks.org/c...
Think they'll explain why 11 isn't susceptible to the Mind Flayer if...as they've hinted...her powers come from Henry...and HIS come from the Mind Flayer itself??? The MF treated 11 like she was its only threat in S3. Isn't she somehow related to the Hive Mind if her powers originate there?
If Brenner and these scientists have known about Dimension X and the Hive Particles this entire time...why did they seem so 100% confused about what was going on during S2? This idea that Brenner's actual mission this entire time was trying to open a portal to X and/or find Henry feels...odd to me.
Where exactly where the Russians boring to in S3 of #strangerthings ...now that we know the Bridge is only the size of Hawkins???? They were dimensionally lasering back in Russia...to????
I liked #strangerthings back when the human technology was more inline with 1980s reality. Sure, drug experiments to make super kids...but starting with the Russians in S3...all of the sudden humans are employing dimensional lasers and now Brenner created an exotic energy sphere???
#strangerthings So...exactly when did Dr. Brenner become a theoretical physicist on the level of Dr. Bruce Banner??? 😆 S1 they send one dude to see what was in the upside down...and...before Brenner is mauled by the Demo...they concoct this exotic matter/energy ball to keep the Bridge stable???
If #strangerthings had skipped the fake out death of Hopper and the "move out of Hawkins" in S3...they could have ended everything in a final S4. Instead they had to spend an entire season getting everyone back to Hawkins and most of S5 just stalling for the final battle...and so much filler.
My wife and son are into anime now, and I've seen my share of dragon ball 😄...and I think my preference for #thewheeloftime would be one of those long episode / many season animated shows. Give me 52 episodes per season with 14 seasons. 😆 Plus internal voice overs are common. Perfect for #wot
Dear #WoTSkies, In this Age, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, we will #SaveWoT and #TheWheelOfTime will come back to screens. Happy Boxing Day mornaftevenight! ❤️ #ThankYouRafe
I swear Stranger Things used to have natural, flowing dialogue when it wasn’t quick, clever and quotable. And didn’t always need to Say the Thing, sometimes even just showed it or let the subtext exist.
Don't hate it, but find it...specifically with the surrounding movie and especially the metacontextual statements about fandom Rian is trying to make...unearned, unsatisfying, and ultimately disappointing. Never left a Star Wars movie more disappointed. 🤷♂️ Everyone has their own experience in guess
Luke Skywalker projected himself across the galaxy to confront an entire army and embrace his legend as the “new hope.” In sacrifice, he became Obi-Wan and Yoda in one. It’s the most satisfying full-circle moment of all time. How could anyone ever hate this? It’s beautiful…
My "how much I loved upon 1st viewing" ranking. 11. The Last Jedi 10. The Rise of Skywalker 9. Attack of the Clones 8. Rogue One 7. Revenge of the Sith 6. Solo 5. The Phantom Menace 4. A New Hope 3. The Force Awakens 2. Empire Strikes Back 1. Return of the Jedi
Star Wars Rankings Mid December 2025: 11. Rogue One 10. Attack of the Clones 9. Revenge of the Sith 8.The Last Jedi 7. The Rise of Skywalker 6.Solo 5. The Phantom Menace 4. The Force Awakens 3.A New Hope 2.Return of the Jedi 1.The Empire Strikes Back
Ok, so now I want Rian to and the reigns to a new director who will shake things up in his Knives Out universe...with the knowledge that he's gonna come back to do at least one movie after this "shake up". I agree SW needs to move forward, but with a 40 year saga you can't just "shake" things up.
ICYMI: Rian Johnson Believes “Worst Sin” With ‘Star Wars’ Is “To Be Afraid Of Doing Anything That Shakes It Up”
This ends one of two bad ways: 1. The story humanizes Gaston and makes him a tragic figure of some kind...and pisses people off 2. The story doesn't humanize Gaston and ends up being about the dangers of toxic masculinity...and pisses people off. 🤷♂️
I do not want Gaston backstory, I do not need Gaston backstory, I reject Gaston backstory he is a fully formed oaf, consuming eggs by the dozen in one of the greatest villain songs ever written, and that is all we need of him
Worst thing about December as a Star Wars fan is that every year the ST movie anniversaries bring back all the conversations. 😆
I always wondered if she was supposed to have known he was a projection at that point. Like does he get to decide what he is solid for and what he can pass through? Also he leaves the dice with Leia...but they're a projection too?...so they are tangible without him? 🤷♂️🤔🤔🤔
Happy anniversary, The Last Jedi.
One thing I think LucasFilm/Bad Robot didn't anticipate(?) in 2014 when "planning" the ST was the difficulty in balancing the 2 core arcs of Rey and Ben...especially with Ben being the 2nd Gen of our OT heros It is trying to tell a hero journey AND a tragic downfall and how do you manage reactions?
