Blimey, Cape Fear was a total mess in the end. About six episodes too long and all over the gaff with direction and storyline. Shame.

We need to take a moment to salute Gianni Infantino for being the first person in history to get 55 European countries to unanimously agree on anything.
Every now and then I remember the final season of The Affair - what was that all about?
Reassuring to see that the BBC are still the absolute masters of end of tournament montages, check it out - magnificent 👏👏👏
Typical negative nonsense from The Mail here of course but, don’t most of their nostalgia loving readers love the idea of going back to the 1970’s. Real bin men, you could leave your front door open & play in the streets till dark, Love thy Neighbour on the TV etc etc…
@secondcaptains.bsky.social This is one hell of a great title for a podcast episode - bravo fellas 👏…
As he has blamed “The Establishment” again let’s just get this right - make no mistake, Farage literally is The Establishment
Lovely! A good moment to say, despite what some folk would like you to think that most people the world over are decent
Latest act of World Cup kindness, this time in Seattle. I got chatting to a couple in line for an ice cream and Chris insisted on buying mine. Small act but leaves a wonderful feeling. There’s been a lot of this. Fleeting period but the F̷I̷F̷A̷ World Cup genuinely generates warmth among people.
Widow’s Bay is about as close to perfect that a TV series can get. Brilliantly written, directed and acted throughout - bravo to everyone involved.
Happened upon this last night - a lovely little doc about theTV show Moviedrome. Was a big favourite of mine back in the day.., youtu.be/TuA_m2llcRQ?...

So this is the lead story on yesterday’s parade from today’s Standard. 24 arrests from a crowd of 1.5m is remarkable. No surprise coming from Standard but this just isn’t the story to lead with on a really positive day for London.
@arsenalvpodcast.bsky.social Tim’s description of his emotions during and post the VAR check were sensationally good. I was laughing so much when he said his tongue was stuck to the roof of his mouth. Bravo mate 👏👏👏
Talked to an HVAC guy who's working two jobs to pay rent. He has no savings and worries about retirement. Tariffs have made it hard for him to import parts. Then this big strong guy who never cries, he said, he said to me, "I just wish Trump's signature was on the dollar." Then he burst out crying.
Arsenal need to lean into these "boring"/"time-wasting"/"Set Piece FC" accusations. Let the wider world sneer. Create a siege mentality. Dig in. Be mean. For around two decades they were accused of being too soft, now they are apparently the opposite. Ride the hate-wave.
Arsenal being lectured by a young man with a comb over - love it!
I would 100% take Mosquera off at HT. He’s one silly foul away from a red card.
Just finished the HBO Billy Joel documentary. Very long but absolutely worth it whether you are a fan or not - I am btw.
What Arteta said to his players on Monday morning to try and break the "pressure bubble" But is Arteta's "intensity" and desire for control now something that needs to be tempered - especially in attack? Has he come to a realisation? www.independent.co.uk/sport/footba...
Arsenal, Mikel Arteta and the ‘fear of failure’ they are trying to banish
Arsenal players were encouraged to speak up about how they were feeling as Arteta looks to prevent a recent blip in their Premier League title race from snowballing

Simon Marks on LBC - Absolutely excellent in his reporting of current situation in USA 👏👏👏
Man, I bet the NRA is going to be furious when they hear that jack-booted thugs from the federal government executed a law-abiding citizen for exercising his Second Amendment right to carry a handgun. Any second now, I'm sure. He was a white guy, if that helps? Hello? NRA?
It’s a real shame that Nigel Farage is too unwell to do interviews the morning after Donald Trump threatens us with sanctions. Here he is with “the bravest man he ever met”. He campaigned to make Trump President, and has spent the last year enjoying all the chaos he has caused.
