Updated Math: If only 1 out of every 11 registered voters in North Carolina who stayed home had voted for Harris … Along with 1 out of every 17 registered voters who stayed home in Georgia … And 1 out of every 17 registered voters who stayed home in Pennsylvania … Harris would have won.

BREAKING: I’m hearing the great Donald Shoup has passed away. Few urbanists can really be called game-changers, but Shoup powerfully changed how we see parking rules and their huge affect on cities. The recent revolution in parking standards was inspired by his unique work. Thank you Donald. #RIP

I'm deeply saddened to share that Donald Shoup passed away last night. He was the ideal academic—curious, methodical, and concerned with turning ideas into real-world change. TAing his parking course these past few years has one of the greatest honors of my life. Rest in peace, Shoup Dogg.

this is incredible stuff. most state DOTs would spend tens of billions on highway expansions to try and see numbers like this (that wouldn’t even pan out anyway thanks to induced demand lol)

All of the NYC Metro area is now in a Level 2 (Severe) drought, with a Level 3 (Extreme) drought in parts of Southern NJ. Dry weather and windy conditions are expected to lead to a continued risk of wildfire spread over the next several days.
