Jesus Christ: after a recent ruling by the Eighth Circuit that allowed Act 372 to take effect, an Arkansas county has banned all children from checking out any books in the adult section, bringing home any DVDs, or using the self-checkout kiosk in its public libraries.

More recently in Craighead County — symbolically, at least, Ground Zero for the state’s attack on libraries, thanks to Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Jonesboro) — the library announced several changes to circulation as it relates to minors. In a Facebook post, the library listed a number of changes to library policies, including:

Minors are prohibited from using the self-checkout kiosks;
Children under 13 years old may only check out materials from the designated children’s collection, while minors age 13-17 can only check out from the children or teen sections;
Minors may not check out DVDs at all; and
Minors are prohibited from entering or purchasing anything from the Friends of the Library Bookstore.

As local libraries grapple with how to implement Act 372, a national group calls for legislators to repeal and replace the pro-censorship law.

This explains so much.🙄🤬 “Witkoff works largely on his own, flying around the world on his own aircraft, using unsecured communications to talk to interlocutors & report back from the road. To educate himself on international affairs he has read a lot of books & watched Netflix documentaries…”

Hey remember that cop that shot and killed a bernadoodle wearing a Knicks jersey back in June? Well they sure hope you forgot about it. That's the plan. BIG BIG shock, but no final disciplinary action or criminal charges have been announced yet.

L.A. sued over police shooting of dog wearing Knicks T-shirt

Attorneys for Marie Marseille filed a civil rights lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles seeking damages for what the suit contends was undue use of force in the fatal shooting of her dog, Jameson.

@brianbeutler.bsky.social it is WILD that the Democrats can’t muster 1/100th of this outrage and seem to be unable to understand how much righteous anger like this inspires people. Whoever this guy is should be out there every day saying this stuff somewhere
