I know it's worse for women but I'll just say that I feel this too. There's something so degrading & wearying & ... fraying about being constantly confronted with mean, ugly, brutish people. I want to feel solidarity toward humanity, I want to feel hope, & this shit just chips away at it.

It's demoralizing living in a nonstop Abuse-a-thon: we've had to learn the sordid details of so many men's abhorrent behavior; I mean this summer has been Graham Platner, Andrew Tate, Jared Leto, Max Miller, plus the horrific L.A. rape-murder of the child by the rapper, to name a few lowlights.

Days before the death of Edwin Jeovanny Lopez Cornejo, ICE officials did not report the death of another man who’d been detained at Delaney Hall — because they had technically “released” him in the middle of a medical emergency, Rep. Rob Menendez (D-NJ) alleged. www.huffpost.com/entry/delane...

A Man Died After Being Detained By ICE — And They Didn't Report It, Congressman Says

Rep. Rob Menendez made a stunning allegation while addressing the recent death of another man who had been detained at Delaney Hall.

By almost any reasonable standard, Abdul is wildly different than Platner— he’s not an unknown, he’s thoroughly vetted, there’s no allegations or hint of ugliness. The murmured equivalencies were embarrassing for the writers who deployed it.

I'm not irritated by Dirty Work, just by people who buy it. And the "AES is Platner" articles and insinuations were dirty work, and some folks who traded in it are absolute Suckers who should not be heeded going forward.

Phang: "Capital One said, 'We don't want the business anymore of the 45th president of the United States, his businesses, his failed sons, and his revocable trust.' So you can imagine -- I am just hypothesizing... but it suggests whatever Capital One uncovered was pretty bad. Makes you wonder..."

This is shocking. The majority of "ovarian" cancers actually start in a fallopian tube. There is no effective screening for this type of cancer, but removing one's tubes as a preventative measure is pretty simple. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/28/h...

Most ‘Ovarian Cancer’ Isn’t. And That Fact Can Save Lives. (Gift Article)

The vast majority of cases begin in the fallopian tubes — and removing them can reduce the risk by nearly 80 percent.

Whitehouse: "Today I think is a sad and embarrassing day for this committee as it looks like on a party-line vote we are going to advance out of this committee probably the most discreditable person ever to seek the office of attorney general. Let's start with the Epstein files ... "

If you're a cis person insisting that the prospect of trans children playing youth sports is not only "a problem" but in fact one of the biggest problems we currently face as a nation, I'd be happy to introduce you to literally a million other things that should be worrying you more.

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani has unveiled a new plan to cover 30% of the city with trees by 2040. And I’m quite positive that MAGA lunatics are losing their collective shit over the idea of more nature instead of dirty poisonous coal.

Poor Jeanine Pirro. It’s always sad when a vicious liar loses their job because they unscrupulously tried to ruin the life of an innocent American hero to appease the most repellent man in America. Drink up, sweetie.
