Tonight, thousands are protesting ICE in NYC after they opened fire in a car with a 5-yr-old in the backseat. ICE fired 7 times, but only hit Oscar Bergal once. A protestor's sign reads: "Get the fuck out. All of them. The rogues & thugs. And the nice ones too." ✊🏼

One of the biggest routine lies by the Trump admin is that if someone in detention gives up, they'll be immediately deported and can leave detention. That is just completely false.

People so brutalized that they ask to be deported— one man asked every week — but remained detained for 6 additional weeks! He could have been put on several previously deportation flights!
7 shots fired. 4 pm in afternoon. At a car with 5-year old in it. Can’t use deadly force except in response to imminent threat of death of serious bodily injury. As in, from what we know, a blatantly illegal shooting. That’s without regard to victim’s criminal record. 7 Shots Fired.

Found this one in the family album. That's me, growing up in Western Alaska. Some of my earliest memories are of summers at fish camp and a community that always looked out for one another. That Alaska is worth fighting for. I'm running for Senate to protect it for the next generation.
