if you’re not committed in defense of everyone’s rights to erotic expression, pleasure, and desire, as a part of life and art that’s valuable and vital to thriving for so many (especially queer) people… you’re not my colleague or ally. And you need to catch the fuck up real quick.

So thrilled to see the paperback of THE GODS BELOW featured in The Boston Globe's list of 25 hot new paperbacks to dive into this summer! I'm writing the conclusion of this trilogy now (time is funny when you're an author) and can't wait to share the complete story.

A graphic that says "The Gods Below / was featured in "25 hot new paperbacks to dive into this summer" / The Boston Globe: "A post-apocalyptic battle amid gods and monsters, Stewart's latest is thrilling, passionate, and inventive, marking its author as a modern master of world-building." Let’s read a problematic gay novel!! @leemandelo.bsky.social and @ayshaufarah.bsky.social join us to discuss “Mélusine,” a delightful but brutal 2005 fantasy novel by Sarah Monette/Katherine Addison. We discuss puritanical limits placed on queer art and other intense but important (and gay) stuff!

This is how my country has treated the Middle East for my entire life. Expressing sorrow feels too shallow. But in this moment, all I can say is that I'm sickened for those killed and hurt.

I met my cousin’s baby last night and she is SO cute!!! I also met my cousin’s dog, an American Eskimo, and I’m in love?? She sat in my lap. She put her head on my shoulder. She was soft and gave my arm a lick every few minutes 🥺
