Retailers warned that raising wages would "force" them to raise prices and to use automated checkout. Fed min wage remained flat, but they raised prices & used automated checkout anyway. Result: Workers got even poorer as customer service plummeted while prices & profits soared.

Become the antithesis of a black hole, an inexhaustible wellspring constantly offering more. Touch whatever comes your way and alchemize it into something precious. In doing so, you will realize that you are, in truth, the brightest, most wondrous being, overflowing with vital life force.

I often have a fleeting feeling that time is moving incredibly fast. Yet, we often fail to realize the immense value of the present moment, because it is all we truly possess.

Attempting to pursue many goals simultaneously is like trying to travel down twenty different paths at once - you'll make little progress on any of them. Instead, channel your energy into one or two carefully chosen objectives.

🌠 The linear() timing function allows us to embed lush spring physics inside vanilla CSS. It’s one of my favourite modern features. But: providing a fallback for older browsers has been pretty painful. I just discovered a lovely pattern for this. ✨ Here’s the code. Description in thread. 🧵

Screenshot of code: html { --spring: ease-out; @supports (animation: linear(1, 2 3%)) { --spring: linear(/* cool spring physics here */); } } .some-element { animation: someKeyframeAnimation 1000ms var(--spring); } .some-other-element { transition: transform 1000ms var(--spring); }

Musk is for free speech. Just a thought, why does he never speak against China. He is happily interfering with the UK and Europe. Am I missing something or is it a little dodgy? Doesn't fit what he preaches now, does it? Happy to be enlightened. Anyone?

1/2 Humanity has evolved from believing in God to Institutions to big brands to believing in Individuals. Now they are losing faith in everything. Basically as humans we need to believe in something.

My one wish for the inauguration is that there is a gift bag under the seats of Bezos, Zuck, Elon etc, with a single, embroidered , padded knee pad Need to protect themselves when they are on bended knee, kissing the ring 🤷😆

What Elon is doing on X feels like the biggest social experiment on humanity, since, potentially the dawn of religion. How humans can be made to believe in anything is fascinating.
