My son's comics journey is interesting to me to see what he leans towards. So far he's a definite Daredevil fan. He likes comics from the 80's and 90's more than current stuff. Critiqued my colors, so that's been stuck in my head all week. Didn't care for one of the biggest books out right now.

I've spent half my life coloring comics now and not once have I ever been super confident in my work. I thought at some point I'd get past imposter syndrome, but it just shifts to different areas. Too compensate I'd render like crazy (or what I thought was crazy). Painting myself into a corner.
Did not realize "What If.. Jessica Jones" has already hit stands. This was a fun one shot I got to color over @damess.bsky.social. Here are some samples. I got to dabble with 2 different styles.

My teenage son asked me about Daredevil yesterday, so I handed him my Man Without Fear trade. He's finished it and asking me for more DD comics. This weekend I have to find my actual DD comics. He picked out my Books of Doom trade to hold him over. Brand New Day may have given him the comics bug.
Wish me luck. I've got a little bit of time before my next deadline, so I am going to try to make the switch from Photoshop to Clip Studio Paint. I have struggled in the past, but I'm really going try and force myself through it the next couple of days.

Trying to figure out better storage for my comics, so my youtube feed is full of "comic room tours". I would say 80% of the rooms are collections of trades, a few slabbed comics, and funko pops. It's more like superhero theme rooms than comic book collections.

Had a dream where an artist I’ve done a bunch of work with reached out to collaborate. I went through the whole thought process of pros and cons before agreeing. Which seems like a happy dream, but I woke up thinking I had added another deadline.

Lot of fun non Big 2 comic movies like Rocketeer, Crow, etc. It's really hard to beat Road to Perdition though IMO.

This has got to be the worst year of officiating in the NBA. Regardless of players flopping and acting. There is absolutely no consistency. It looks like the officials have money on the games. NBA needs to do something to make the game watchable again.
