I was fortunate enough to catch a performance here in Asheville by the Jon Camp Band, playing on a backyard stage at dusk. Here's "Turquoise Flower." I'm a sucker for that clean Telecaster twang paired with the pedal steel.

I read this for the first time since high school. Lots of fun stories in between countless examples of show biz chicanery. One fun thing: Lorne was a real head. To plan the show, he went to the Mojave Desert and took shrooms! He hung around with producer Joe Boyd!

When Ruby Vroom was blowing up in Minneapolis, pretty sure most of us here only experienced "Screenwriter's Blues" through a vicarious idea of LA. Pretty fun, then, to hear about experiencing the song as you, yourself kinda live it. Come for the insight, stay for the Jesus' stigmata water fountain!
