I had to highlight this tribute to Mamoru Oshii's live action film "Stray Dogs - Keberos Panzer Cops" in the new animated movie "Patlabor EZY - File 1". They literally recreated almost all of the shots from the original 1991 trailer.

I have to assume there's been at least one romantasy that's taken Saber Marionette J (colony planet with no biological women, adapted to a society of feminized men and trans women, and female androids with clone reproduction) and gender swapped it, right? It's such a great premise for the genre

The great sex negativity comes from several angles: - Generational contrarianism: Anti-censorship dominated young Millennial discourse - Conflation: Tying fertility crisis & misc social maladies to "porn addiction" etc - YouTube: Media influencers' worship of plot, excoriation of "pointless" details

Amazon Prime are cutting scenes from films they stream; another reason to get your hands on Second Sight's lush 4K UHD version of The Name of the Rose. I have no problem with the idea of living with intention. It's just a waste to agonize over "why spend time on [x] art when I can be absorbing classics like [y] instead?" Imagine an intentionality where you approach a VN or show with the same capacity to find potential depth as you do for "high" art
