To write it in the 1960s you had to be obsessed with alchemy or believe Theudebert I was descended from Jesus; now they just want you to know how to write for TV, which was notably *not* a requirement in 1968.

"Separate art from the artist" is cool when it's someone like Lovecraft who's dead as hell, not when it's someone extremely alive and explicitly leveraging her media property to fund anti-trans activism. This isn't difficult.
