@nanopharmnc.bsky.social clearly a relation by goat affinity and name if not by blood!
Coverage in the Guardian of our latest publication in Royal Society Open Science, with fantastic collaborators Alan McElligott (@amcell.bsky.social), Christian Nawroth (@goatswhostare.bsky.social), Federico Rossano and Simon Townsend. Paper threaded below! www.theguardian.com/science/2026...
Our new and improved blue model outperformed SoTA red model. Did either of them accomplish a meaningful task? No. Please publish in nature and give me 100M seed funding.

Why is deformation microscopy desirable? Amino acid scale distances are relevant because of the physical properties of the individual atoms interacting with others including waters etc. in space. This is like saying "we took kublah Kahn and exploded it on the football field look how long it is!"

Why are people in the image citing things they haven't read???
I'm sorry, what? In writing my first monograph, I spent six weeks trying to track down a citation in TWO languages I didn't know. And good thing too, because the citation was wrong. That's scholarship. That's research. You know, the thing we're trained to do?!?

Researchers in South Korea say they have made a major advance by turning on genes with an electromagnetic signal, but critics say the claims are implausible and the paper is flawed

Very interesting but the gamma subunits have their own trafficking behaviour and halo tag is 3-5x the size of the protein itself. Hardly an innocuous alternative to tagging the g alpha.

Is your golden retriever friendly because of its breed? Genetics says: not really. A citizen science study of 18,000+ dogs found breed explains only 9% of behavioral variation in individual dogs. Personality predates modern breeds by thousands of years. #2026MMM www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...
