annoying codex thing last week they just dropped luna prices by 80% but you can't actually make luna subagents from sol or terra fr fr Luna is marked as "V1" and Sol & Terra are marked as supporting "V2" subagent API, and there's a Codex check preventing you from mixing them
my position remains: gas town is mostly insane, yegge is mostly insane, but exploring the “what if tokens were ~free?” space is an important thing for somebody to be doing
I just wish it would be acceptable to be into coding for different reasons and there’s not one “right” reason

Not a fan of Codex auto-approval. From what I can tell it runs shell commands in a sandbox and then when that fails it asks a smart model if it's safe to run the command outside the sandbox... which breaks down real quick because it can't always recognize when a failure was because of the sandbox

I think new kinds of GUI tooling will/must arise, so I would encourage people to look at this weird moment as offering more/new opportunities
something bittersweet about it becoming dramatically easier to build nice GUI dev tooling at the same time that (much of) that tooling becomes irrelevant
