Seems to me the greater tragedy is when the multitude of people who *still do* extraordinary stuff for the good of humankind are routinely forced to watch the fruits of their labours snatched and sold off as fuel for the machinery that still swears blind it's only there to support and protect them.

also the ceos of ai companies that trained their models on everybody else's work then turning round and complaining about people stealing their shit is fucking hilarious to me

just had one of those moments where you're reading about billionaires complaining that other people are making money and you think how nice it would be if people just did stuff for the good of humankind instead of avarice
