Placeholder assets in a game should look obnoxiously temporary, so obvious that no one would mistake it for the final asset. In past games we've used the doge dog (rip) as an icon, hot pink versions of characters, our CEO's head, etc. If you use a temp asset that seems passable, it may stay there.

This is why there's been such an aggressive, obnoxious push to market AI as an inevitable, essential technology for the future. They desperately need to frame any and all justifiable skepticism as anti-progress cowardice before everyone realises it's actually just common sense to think this is shit.

I cannot express how bad this story is for generative AI. OpenAI is burning hundreds of millions of dollars to try and make GPT-5 a meaningful upgrade, and it isn't working. Where does all of this go? How does this result in anything?

I literally just went on Itchio to see what’s selling and the top comic right now is flooded w/ “Super Eyepatch Wolf sent me” comments. This stuff is important, it’s def a bit of random luck but that’s how it goes. Cheerlead what you love, the impact of visibility with all this online smog is huge

Last year, an author mentioned my shop on her substack. It changed my income so drastically that this is the spike of orders from that *one* mention last year. Word of mouth for an artist can change everything.

This is a friendly reminder that even if you can't support an artist you love through monetary means, your retweets have a MASSIVE amount of power here on Bluesky. Since there's no algorithm, every RT you give makes a post more visible to others!
