Gorgeous first panel at Doctors for Choice/Abortion Talk conference: bodily autonomy, foregrounding sex worker, trans, radical anticapitalist perspectives. "It's a collective, interconnected struggle…We need to all go together, all the time with every tool we have." (Justin Hancock, Bish)

In the run-up to BA Summer Showcase film screening this Wednesday, I've been in touch with some of the feminists in El Salvador behind Mujeres Libres. You can donate here to support Casa Resguardo, a safe house and safe space for Mujeres Libres El Salvador.

Poland's presidential election was a disaster. “[Karol] Nawrocki is expected not only to uphold but potentially tighten Poland’s already draconian abortion laws. His win slams the door on hope for political reform in the near future, and locks in a future where women's lives remain expendable.”

Nawrocki win is ‘devastating blow’ for abortion rights activists in Poland

Any hopes to liberalize the country’s strict abortion rules are lost as the nationalist candidate secured a narrow win.

Decided to watch Location Location Location. Got 2 mins in & had to stop when voiceover said, "This couple has had to move a staggering FOUR times in eight years." *cried in millennial/has moved at least once every year in the past 15 years/has borne witness to Irish property market of 1990s-now*

Happy life update! I'll be a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Exeter from 1st Sept. Perfect day for starting big big big big big big big school (primary school is big school and you add another "big" for every level of education and career progression, FACT).

This is exactly why SAFE exists and yet there are even more people who don't have the resources or access to an abortion fund. We shouldn't have to but until EVERYONE has access to abortion we're not going anywhere. Please donate, sign up or spread the word 💚 #abortionfund #abortioneurope

Going abroad to get an abortion, a struggle for thousands of women in Europe

"Exporting Abortion", a transnational investigation, reveals that "over 5,000 women in Europe have to travel abroad for abortions each year".
