1/2 Delving into the college archives, we came across this photograph of our Founding President, Brooke Foss Westcott (pictured on the right) after whom our college is named.

Really interested to see how this afternoon's session goes, albeit watching from a distance. Grateful to those who have done the work, very much hoping it will help us recognise and deploy the diversity of gifts God blesses the church with!
A quick primer thread ahead of the team's #GeneralSynod Neurodiversity Motion this afternoon, Friday 10th. Very informal, written in a personal, not official group, capacity. but it may be helpful. Neurodiversity is everyone. All kinds of minds/
Only a few more days until our Open Day! If you’ve not managed to book a place for Saturday, there’s still time to come along and explore what it might be to live, study and worship at Westcott House. Registration closes 4pm tomorrow: https://buff.ly/hB36SsP #vocation #ordination #discernment
It can be hard to respond to God's call if you're worried that you might not be able to put food on the table. But the course itself is funded by the CofE, and there's great news here about how much you will be given to live on that could make it possible: www.churchofengland.org/faith-life/v...

Mark Edwards' point in this article is well made and important - it is never shameful to seek or accept mental health support. Not for the clergy, not for anyone. www.premierchristianity.com/opinion/the-...
The Telegraph is publishing dangerous myths about Justin Welby and therapy
A recent column in The Telegraph implied that Christian leaders shouldn't need therapy because they can ask God for help instead. Fr Mark Edwards explains why he believes this viewpoint is both wrong ...

This parish is in the bottom 1% of the deprivation index. Over 30% of adults have no qualifications. Tonight at Lent group we wrote cinquains and had a lively discussion about apophatic and kataphatic approaches to prayer. Never make assumptions about what people are capable of and interested in.
Such a joy to see some of our wonderful 2024 leavers again!
Great to see some of our 2024 Leavers, back to attend the Cambridge Theological Federation’s 2025 Award Ceremony on Monday which celebrated the achievements of students across CTF Houses who completed their Common Awards course or DTM last year. We are hugely blessed in the wonderful people and organisations who contribute to our 'Ministry for Life' programme for ordinands.
1/2 Lis Silver (CEO) and Chris Dade (Support Services Manager) from It Takes a City (Cambridge) recently came to Westcott House to talk to first years about Homelessness as they continue to explore Key Pastoral Issues in ‘Ministry for Life’.
This is always a really valuable part of our programme - thank you @canontim.bsky.social!
1/2 Forming part of our ‘Ministry for Life’ series on Key Pastoral Issues, it was good to have the company and wisdom of Revd Canon Timothy Goode, Canon for Congregational Discipleship and Nurture at York Minster, with us today to speak to our first years on disability theology.

Sitting with a prayer for a season brings all sorts of gifts. As a place shaped by a common life, where we strive for inclusivity, this prayer by Canon Sarah Jones has been a blessing on us in the last few weeks.
As Feb draws near to a close, this LGBT+ History Month we've been giving thanks as a College for our diverse, beautiful & inclusive community (present, past & future) we've been so richly blessed with. In many of our services in chapel this month, we've dwelt with this prayer by Canon Sarah Jones.
Today in chapel the Westcott community held a vigil for Ukraine and Russia to mark the Third Anniversary of Russian Invasion of Ukraine, praying for all who strive for peace and who fight for justice, remembering the cost of war and asking God to help us work for a better tomorrow.
1/2 It was good to welcome back Abigail Ogier, Deputy Head of Chaplaincy at MHA, with us today to lead a session on ageing and dementia for our first years as we continue our ‘Ministry for Life’ series on Key Issues in Pastoral Care.
