I’d recommend everyone watch this - it’s rather cheering to watch our media discover that an incompetent crank runs our national equality regulator

At several points she visibly stops short of saying "you know, it's just fucking vibes at this stage. You know which ones."

Just half-read an article called "Why I'm Leaving Mumford & Sons" which contained the line "I’ve had plenty of abuse over the years. I’m a banjo player after all." (TL;DR was because he'd tweeted support for a right-wing author lol)
apropos of I just told one of their staff this on a PR they opened on my repo: I will not be engaging in any manner with 37signals or any of its properties while DHH remains involved with the company. it is the very least I can do to make sure there are any consequences for his behaviour
Of course if they all published Bin Data as proper Open Data this would all work and we could all have our own Bin App/Skill/Whatever. But no one does TLDR It all leads back to PAF ….
My theory is the worse Badenoch performs the safer she is. If she did anything to turn around the fortunes of that party she might have a challenger who thought it worth leading.
Can we just, you know, stop very, very rich people fucking things up, where things include – but are very much not limited to – the moon?
I loved Teenage Fanclub – even up to about 10 years ago – but at this post-Love stage there's just nothing left to say, it's all just pleasant enough retreads.
We are literally in drought again, Europe is on fire, and food security is collapsing as we speak, you ludicrous brainstems in ties
The UK government is scrapping Net Zero and environmental criteria from procurement rules.
Leaders of flag-raising group Raise the Colours Oxfordshire placed trackers on highway workers’ cars to find out their home addresses, the High Court has heard. RTC then attempted to intimidate the highway staff into no longer removing flags by repeating their addresses to them.
There is a danger that by arguing the amount, we end up conceding the framing. Britain's welfare is ungenerous, the spend in total is mid-to-low table, and below past peaks. Benefits need reforming because they're unfit for purpose and trap, instead of enabling people. Not to make fantasy savings.

Bluesky is a "liberal bubble" because fascist chuds can't get traction without algorithmic assistance and because people here trained themselves to block "debate me" trybois the instant they roll up
Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."
Even Amnesty fucking International can't do it without being brought ever-so-gently back into line with the threat of a SLAPP from the second worst billionaire on the planet
Again, so reflective of why UK media is - for the most part! - an actively hostile space, particularly for marginalised people. It’s a space where you can’t ever speak out against those who are trying to make your life worse - not while they’re living and not while they’re dead, either.

Whenever I hear people saying that figures who were vile in public, and actively made life worse for other people through their actions or words, were kind in private, I think that they should have applied themselves to greater consistency across all areas of their lives.
Idea: Money For Nothing by Dire Straits, but it’s about some musicians getting their Spotify payout and envying some guys they know with solid, well-paid jobs in kitchen delivery.

Goodnight then, dickhead. Live your life so that everyone reading a sentence like this after having seen any news recently does not immediately know to whom it refers.
Median UK voter in 2026, as predicted by Hugh Laurie some decades ago:
This is many years old (perhaps 2021?), but I thought maybe I should post my Shrek With A Pearl Onion Earring painting on this account
Time well wasted. Level 19 on first go, but only managed fifth on the high score table. The Pico screen is square and you can't see some of the baddies sometimes. Best Pico effort I've ever seen, I think.
