Sharon’s was your destination if you were craving a hearty duck dinner. Or duck salad. Or duck soup. Or duck pie. Or duck pate. This joint is ducky! I’ve only had duck a few times and am not a fan, so I’ll have a Waldorf salad, pie and iced tea 🍽️ Sharon’s Duck Inn Wrentham MA 1940s #VintageMenus

#MusicHistory On this day in 1979, Pennie Smith captured rock’s most iconic photo: Paul Simonon smashing his Fender Precision Bass at NYC’s Palladium after security forced fans to sit down. Smith thought the blur ruined the shot. The Clash saw raw punk energy—and made it the face of London Calling.

Every now and then I see myself referred to as an "AI Denier" and I want to be clear I acknowledge "AI" exists, it's just I think it's a massive energy drain, created from theft, implemented poorly for inappropriate tasks by loathsome tech executives who get hard at the idea of the rest of us dying

How dare the National Museum of the American Indian refer to George Washington with a name that he was given by the Iroquois in 1753, a name which he himself used in his correspondence! So glad to see Fox News taking a stand against the politicization of history. s/

Smithsonian museum labels George Washington a
"town destroyer" while omitting why he ordered the attacks.
The National Museum of the American Indian's exhibit describes the destruction of 40 Iroquois towns but leaves out that the campaign was a direct response to devastating raids that crippled the Continental Army, destroyed frontier settlements and took prisoners.
The Trump administration has threatened funding cuts over what it calls the Smithsonian's push to reframe America's founding as "a deeply flawed creation of the country."

The Fauci hearing perfectly illustrated how living through a once in a century pandemic somehow made Republicans far worse on public health. God forbid we face anything like covid again during Trump 2.0. There will be no Dr Fauci around to try to talk sense to Trump.

Every time I’m on the road, stuff happens: Last week, tornado-like weather, & a urinary tract infection for the dog. A temporary loss of power & some slight “water damage” to a rug (non-rain related 😉) This week… a vulture.

A NJ turkey vulture sits, unencumbered, on a vintage watering can within 5 feet of a suburban backdoor to the surprise of a CA native about to walk her precious and favorite family member, Scout (a miniature doodle doggo)

😳 Rep. Lieu explodes on Mike Waltz: "You don't even know how many US troops were wounded in this Iran War! Shame on you! You are the US ambassador and you don't even know how many US troops are wounded! You should be ashamed! You should resign!"
