Beautiful night in Tāmaki Makaurau. Great to be at an All Aboard Aotearoa event talking climate action and sustainable transport with a bunch of humans who want better for our future!! 💚
Two weeks ago, Auckland councillors unanimously asked the Mayor and I to advocate to all parties to remove greenfield residential development from the fast-track. So, we've done the work and produced a bill that would do that. www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/fast-trac...

Mōrena koutou!! Check out the morning! Heading into work for a massive day. First stop BECA to speak on a panel about the future of spatial planning for Auckland.
Great to be LIVE on ZM from Karanga-a-Hape Station on New Zealand’s Deepest Radio Show about 33m or 10 storeys deep. One of the deepest in the world right now. Was a hilarious time as always with Fletch, Vaughan and Hayley. It only took me 26 minutes from Glenfield Road to Karanga-a-Hape station
Around the stations there was a buzz and a busy-ness - delightful! On our travels we bumped into local board members, the AT CEO, lots of folks I know from council work and public transport advocacy, and a certain Mr Simon Wilson. A good day to be champions for AKL and our future. ☺️
… (and at least two Wellingtonians) exploring and enjoying the new stations and their surrounds, riding the trains, being kind and mindful of each other. There were teething issues of course, & folks seemed to be patient and curious, not irate and disappointed. The vibe was good. For areas…
An early real-world test of fire safety and evacuation procedures. Good luck to all of you for the rest of the day running smoothly!
With Stacey and the team from Auckland Transport, fire at Waitematā Station was very small and is out, they’ve received clearance from FENZ and recovery is in progress. Services will be restored soon. Thanks to Fire and Emergency NZ and all the teams for their swift response.
Imagine what it would be like if Mr Fix It wasn't on the case
National broke our Auckland Deal agreement just four months after signing it. I was in the room when the Prime Minister committed to work with us on a bed night levy policy in 2027 and to create stable events and destination funding for our city. www.rnz.co.nz/national/pro...
Auckland Councillor Richard Hills on National’s ‘no’ to bed levy
The National Party is to run on a platform of No New Taxes - ruling out a plan for a bed tax articulated only weeks ago. Guyon spoke with Auckland Councillor Richard Hills.

National’s no new taxes and cuts to services means older Aucklanders being treated in the corridors, 50 hour waits in the A&E and no new nurses. A crisis no one seems to want to sort. www.rnz.co.nz/news/health/...
'Absolute nightmare' - patients left waiting in soiled beds at North Shore emergency department

Massive week in the best city! Have a good weekend! 🧡
Mōrena from Te Ara Awataha, Northcote. This weather though! 🔥
It was so good. The station looks amazing. K Rd was buzzing with such a cool vibe up and down the street. Loved it. Well done Tāmaki Makaurau.
Karanga-a-hape Station ribbon cut and the people poured in. What a magical night!
A message from Theo’s daycare teacher. I chose this life 🤣
I look from the bus each day, yet only seen dolphins here once!! Not today either sadly but I hope you all have a great day hopefully one with porpoise. 🐬
Well done you BRILLIANT peeps. The CRL is going to be such a game changer. Went to the Maungawhau ‘First Look’ today. It was pumping. All the cafes around were full. People are genuinely excited. Bring it on! Bravo 💚⭐️👏👏🤜
12.5yrs ago, before I was a councillor, & before my friend Jacinda became Prime Minister (you might have heard of her) we were out campaigning to convince the govt fund the CRL. Two years later PM John Key confirmed they’d fund half. Thanks to Len Brown and all the campaigners who pushed for this!
So I am assuming Luxon has ruled out having Winston as a Minister in a future government he leads. Due to racism and diplomatic concerns? Or is that type of leadership reserved just for candidates who’ve already indicated they’ve resigned? www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

Woah, what a transformation, that spot had been derelict for decades
Ātaahua. Thank you to the Tūpuna Maunga Authority, mana whenua, Stronghold Group, Prodigy Plumbing, Green by Nature and everyone involved with this awesome new community space up Takarunga - Mt Victoria. It looks great. Will share more images soon.
Great to see that National support 30 weeks Paid Parental Leave. Especially after they voted against the introduction of PPL. Blocked the extension to 26 weeks for several years. Canceled 33 pay equity claims. And just this year, cut Best Start payments for the majority of new parents.
Surely candidates & MPs training should include at the very least; Don’t be a sexist pig. Don’t say you’ll shoot people. Don’t talk about other MPs doing sexual acts in your speeches. There’s racism and other things but that’s been ignored all term. It’s not that hard idiots.
