DB clearly have massive problems running trains atm, that isn't going to be solved quickly. They could start providing many more seats on platforms for their late running services though.
Everytime I visit London I notice 2 things. Firstly, just how much of a melting pot it is, stuffed full of every race, creed and sexual orientation. Secondly, just how much public transport there is. Compared to every other city and region in the UK in London it's more frequent more convenient.

Nigel Farage has done probably the dumbest thing in UK politics ever. His statements have taken him from ' It's none of your business' to this election is all about my 5 million quid and various other sources of money, at lightning speed. So stupid.
At least with only Binface standing against Farage we can all unite behind laughing at Farage. He will not like that experience one little bit.
Farage says that being a MEP cost him a lot of money. I thought it was part of the "European gravy train" he must have been doing it wrong. Or maybe he's a lying .....
In Malmo, the uncompromisingly ambitious builder-developer ETC Bygg has achieved something revolutionary. This here is a building made from straw: 12 storeys, 38 meters tall, with a fully timber structure (including core), wrapped in EcoCocon's straw panel external wall system.
Listening to Tony Blair being interviewed by John Sopel and I can only conclude that Blair no longer lives in the same world as the rest of us. In the pocket of the tech bros and the oil industry too.
Any country that has anti jaywalking laws can not consider itself to be a people friendly country. And yes I include Denmark in this. They really should know better. They should also allow cyclists to turn right on red lights.

Damn it, get out of the cruiser and go see what the actual problem is, then push the city to put some pedestrian signals, or _something_. This is a deadly road and you're not helping.
Another reason if you needed it to question exactly where Starmer's morality lies.

First move for the nationalised GWR ought to be to allow passengers travelling between Newport and Bridgend to use TfW's tap and go ticketing system. Vital for modal shift.

There are many differences between cycling in the UK and in Denmark. In Denmark you have to be much more aware of other cyclists and keep checking over your shoulder. In the UK it was rare that I would be sharing a cycle lane with anyone else.
This is a big difference between where I live now and when I used to live in the UK. In Denmark I just jump on the bike put the destination into google maps and go. I the UK a new route would need to be researched and potentially dangerous sections identified and an alternative found.

Why is it that everytime I read something about Urban Transport in Leeds it's so obvious that the story has been placed in order to undermine the Mayor Tracey Brabin? Treasury and DfT seem very keen to say you're not getting Trams 'cos Tracey was just too eager to get going.
Will I tell you one thing I've noticed about cycling in Copenhagen. I don't pay any attention to the traffic at all. Not even a little bit, they're only obstacles to be negotiated at junctions as they wait stationary to turn right.

Scotrail have announced a fleet of refurbished class 222 trains to replace their ageing HSTs. Good to see the HSTs go but Scotrail accepting another refurbished fleet is not a good look for their Premier intercity routes.

Well the contrast between today's 2 rugby matches couldn't be starker. Murrayfield saw a display of running rugby with plenty of invention on both sides. Whereas Rome very much wasn't.
Just saw a guy jaywalk across H.C.Andersen Blvd. He's now my new hero, Copenhagen can't claim to be a truly walkable city until jaywalking laws are repealed and speed limits reduced.
Imagine the radical idea to build homes for people to rent built by your local council. (Reminder that the major home builders will never build enough homes to satisfy need)
