I fly United. A lot. I love United. (Really. App, website, service, etc. - 10/10, big fan.) Except for their inflight wifi, which was designed by someone who I can only imagine is compensated for how many minutes per login session fliers spend waiting to complete the 97 step login/purchase flow.

I'm not sure if this is at the level of @rickklau.com's clothes hanger trick, but you can use your hotel key to trigger an Apple Shortcut. So you can set up one to give you directions back to your hotel whenever you tap your card to your iPhone. creators.yahoo.com/lifestyle/st...

Dear Google Calendar, I would like an option to indicate that I do not know this person so that I can never see this particular modal again

However, after traveling to Ethiopia and Guatemala and hearing from many experts in the field, it’s clear to me that an extremely practical way to make our world a more stable and peaceful place is to invest in modern development aid, in concert with the family of nations. 🧵 7/8

The DOGE initiative then eliminated about $8 billion more in foreign aid, and now, the White House is fighting to withhold about $5 billion more in foreign aid funding — all in the name of making our country stronger and safer. 🧵 6/8

Earlier this year, the Trump State Department announced that nearly 5,800 USAID contracts worth $54 billion were being eliminated (representing a 92% reduction of what had already been awarded to the agency) because “they were not aligned with the administration's priorities.” 🧵 5/8
