Jay Willis@jaywillis.net · 2mo agoBrett Kavanaugh's opinion in the trans sports ban case is an all-timer in his I Am a Reasonable Guy Please Don't Be Mad At Me genre. Talking about how he is "acutely aware" of what trans people go through and "greatly admires" their desire to play sports while he slams the door in their faces.
In case it wasn't already apparent, Democrats are not ready to meet this moment.

The fight to defend immigrant rights from Trump's cruelty is not over, but today the Court upheld the law. It's simple: if you're born in America, you're an American.

For a 6-3 majority (Thomas, Alito & Gorsuch, dissenting), Chief Justice Roberts *strikes down* President Trump's executive order purporting to limit which individuals born in the United States would automatically be US citizens; preserves status quo:
