Interesting, but unsurprising. This is essentially the Nate Silver effect. The overwhelmingly majority of his predictions were captured simply by assuming a state voted for the same party as in previous election. Marginal gains beyond that baseline were few.

In addition to having no experience in immigration, their website shows Ilya Shapiro (!) and disgraced former law prof Joshua Wright (!) as Senior Counsel. I don't think this massive contract was awarded to give immigrant children effective, zealous advocacy. burkegroup.law/our-team/

This stinks to high heaven. There are organizations that have been competently representing immigrant children for years, such as @florenceproject.bsky.social, is this meant to replace their highly qualified services? If so, the administration has taken its cruelty to absurdly stupid heights.
