Reminder, there's plenty of good, great fantasy out there. Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, dense lore with powerful female protagonists Ursula K LeGuin's Earthsea Series,short but beautifully written, a classic of the Fantasy Genre TE White: Once and Future King, Arthur and Merlin classic

But there's plenty of fantasy out there, and while I have some sympathy, and I'm aware all my favorite authors are safely dead and can't actively destroy their own reputations, I skip Wagner on playlists and I don't put up Picassos.
