Clarity by Zedd just came on my shuffle list. Holy shit... That takes me way back. In a somber way, it has me thinking about the optimism we all had in the early 2010s, and has me hoping that we can find our way out of this insanity.

I view this random pair of boots as a synchronicity more than anything. But I can't help but chuckle at the thought of someone being abducted by the fae in these woods. 🤣

I have a sudden need to pick out a sturdy piece of oak and make my own tetsubo/kanabo at the community center woodshop. Given everything I've been dealing with, I feel it would be cathartic for me to channel my energy into crafting a Japanese war club fit for a dragon.

Made a Yokohama-style Iekei ramen tonight~ A dense tonkotsu stock with a Shoyu tare, some extra pork fat, and blanched spinach. The only thing that would make it better is if I had some ajitsuke quail eggs.

Pffff. Omg. A cicada hitched a ride on me and I didn't notice until I took my shirt off. The sound of it screeching scared the hell out of me. 🤣

The last thing I want to do is live an unfulfilling life so full of regret that I make it everyone's problem. Not every man in their 50s is that emotionally stunted, but I've certainly seen enough of them to know that I don't want to wind up like that.

5 years after I turned 30 and I'm more comfortable with myself than I've ever been. Fuck the algorithmically conditioned fear of aging.

I decided to make a tonkotsu miso ramen tonight. As is typical of most miso ramen types, I had to throw in that pat of butter.

Since I've come back from the howl, I have less of a tolerance for argumentative online bullshit. Or just online bullshit in general. I want to be back out in the woods with no cell service again...

Another earthquake in Kumamoto... Almost ten years to the date since the last one, too. Kumamoto Castle has sustained further damage, unsurprisingly. But I'm especially concerned about Watanabe-sama... He retired and moved back in 2020 and I'm really hoping he's okay.

And if confronted they'll say "Well we're a small business, we have to cut cost!!" Artists are small business and cutting them out of the job is the equivalent of me choosing to go to Walmart instead of supporting local businesses. If you're gunna screw us why should we care about you lol

I've always been Therian, even before I discovered the furry fandom as a form of expression. Even before I had the terminology to describe who I am I always felt green and scaly on the inside.

Favorite hotel con experience so far? This last FC, I hosted my third ramen party. One of the staffers helping me gave me a VIP pass to the night market. After I cleaned up, I spent the rest of Saturday night running around shirtless and flaunting my tattoos in my fursuit head.
