DiscussingFilm@discussingfilm.net · 2d agoThere are currently no active conversations for a full ‘MUPPET SHOW’ series revival. Disney, The Muppets Studio and Point Grey Pictures have had difficulties with deciding on a premise for the series that they can all agree on. (Source: Deadline)

I’m rewatching the very good 2022 Hellraiser, and the way that composer Ben Lovett starts weaving in Christopher Young’s original Hellraiser theme about halfway through the movie is a thing of absolute beauty.
Also, haven't seen this mentioned in my timeline yet, but sorry Michael Caine. The best performance in a Muppet movie belongs to this man.

Hey, I can finally weigh in on Saltburn, which I found to be a trashy delight. Barry Keoghan really is one of our more interesting actors. (Though I still think his performance in The Banshees of Inisherin is his best.)
On one hand, this is exciting. On the other, I have questions: How many stories are new vs. older republished stories. Why Kickstarter? We couldn't get a publishing house behind this? Will that affect the quality the books? I've long wanted a true Books of Blood repub, but not as a pricey add-on.

Back in my newspaper days, I spent a few years covering the Triple-A Charlotte Knights part-time. At one of my first games, this nice middle-aged gentleman sat down next to me in the press dining room & started talking baseball. Turns out it was Tommy, who was a PR exec for the Knights at the time.

Apparently the only “classic” movie you can stream on Hulu is Toy Story.
Every day this guy does something like this and every day the same people who dress him up as a terrifying commie destroyer of civilization do a dozen things to sabotage the public good, to murder and destroy and hate and kill, and I can't anymore handle those who won't see the clear difference.

As someone who happily owned Omen III: The Final Conflict on VHS tape back in the day, the Sam Neill news hits hard. No matter how big his role, from lead to supporting, Sam always made every movie he was in better.
It is my strong personal belief that Evil Dead movies should not be "about something." They should be pure exercises in style ... spook-a-blasts, to use Sam Raimi's parlance. Evil Dead Burn is the second time they've tried to make Evil Dead allegorical, and it just does not work for me.
I fear we were too hard on the CD Cenobite. A beautiful creature who really embodied the pain/pleasure of being a dedicated lover of physical media.
