The people who agreed with it had really interesting and nuanced things to say, and the people who disagreed with it took on a snide tone and just sort of called me "a privileged white man." Which tells me a lot.

I'm sure someone's already done something like this but I wanted to give my take on it. Has been a fun project as I teach myself Vegas Pro.
If Tom Bombadil is in season 3 then Goldberry surely is too. We can have SOME women in this show still, right???

There is no version of yourself you could become that would satisfy the people who hate you. So you might as well be who you are.
Looking at it... I'm happy with how that thread went down. The people who agreed with it had really interesting and nuanced things to say, and the people who disagreed with it took on a snide tone and just sort of called me "a privileged white man." Which tells me a lot.

After a longer period of time I wanted, my Celebrimbor work is done... for now. Still gonna tinker with it to perfect it for what I intended for it, but i think this is about as good as I can get it right now with the limitations I had. I hope I captured Charles Edwards pretty well in it.

Before starting this rewatch I wanna make it crystal clear: it's a travesty there is no physical release of Rings of Power. Images busy with particles and noise never look good on limited bitrates, so it was a HILARIOUS choice to give a streaming-only series opening titles like THIS. #TROPRewatch

Robert Joseph V.@robertjoscribe.bsky.social · 6d agoSaw The Odyssey. For the first 30 mins I was like: idk. But by the last 30 mins I was so absorbed I low key forgot to breathe. Incredible. Very similar to Oppenheimer in the way it weaves its tale, and the point it's trying to make. I loved it so much.
Do American theatres actually have cheering and applause? Is that a thing that happens often or only at certain fan events? I want to know so I can add it to my already huge list of reasons why I'll never visit.
It's weird that Sauron is a big part of the promotion this time and yet we've got - nothing about his status as king of men or his Halbrand identity - nothing about his relationship with Galadriel - nothing about his feud with Ar-Pharazon All they talk about is him crafting that fucking ring!
That upcoming X-Men movie really will be the ultimate test for Marvel going forward. Cause if it sucks and bombs it will be OVER. Popular culture will go back to westerns again or something, superhero movies will die.

Given the way Marvel projects have been treating black MEN lately I shudder to see how they'll handle Storm. Kevin Feige you better tread carefully.
