Missouri voters reject Amendment 4. The Republican-backed measure, designed to make it far harder for citizen initiatives (like abortion rights, marijuana, etc.) to pass by requiring majorities in all 8 congressional districts, has failed. Simple statewide majority rule stays.

This apparently happened underneath (and maybe because of of) a sign she had hung on her house that said: "National Guard Stop Being So Embarrassing."
"Get away from me right now," King, a retired U.S. Army captain who served in Iraq and earned both a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star, can be heard telling the three male guard members in the video as they approach her on the bench. "You have absolutely no authority to detain me."

They say they hate “wokeness,” but what they really hate is empathy. Because once you start caring about other people’s experiences, inequalities become harder to ignore, and privilege becomes harder to defend.
Amid any speculation around how Farke may set Leeds up next season, this was a reminder of all that was good last term. Long throws, aerial assault, Rodon's bursts from deep, Bogle and Justin as inside forwards, Ampadu's dominance and Calvert-Lewin knitting it all together. So good to watch. #lufc

Sanders: Look at what Mamdani is doing and contrast that with Trump. Trump cuts funding for child care. Mamdani thinks we should have free, universal child care. Who do you think is on the side of the American people on these issues?
Our flight from Seattle to Sacramento was delayed by a few hours last night, but we were rewarded with an epic sunset on Tahoma (Rainier) as it poked through the low stratus layer. The pastel peach backdrop was made possible by the horrific wildfire smoke from all the PNW fires.
An obvious Statement, but Very True… “Our country would be a lot more successful if Congress spent their time working for the American people, instead of trying to please the president or those who line their pockets!”
Colin is right: We must exercise our power to change the course of history. For his lifetime achievements advocating for racial justice and empowering youth, we are proud to recognize Colin Kaepernick with our new Ralph Ellison Award for Defenders of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties.
OK I need to calm the fuck down. I'm yelling way too much for preseason #LUFC positive play.
I know this is just #LUFC preseason but that comeback felt good.

One month ago today: U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro claims she has “tremendous evidence” against David Hearn for vandalizing the Reflecting Pool. She lied. Secretary Burgum lied. White House staff lied. Trump lied. There will be no consequences.
Well done by Dana Bash. -RFK Jr: You don't understand this. You're not a scientist. -Bash: Neither are you. Reminder of why it's a race among this guy, Hegseth, S Miller, R Vought, Lutnick, Bondi->Blanche, Noem->Markwain, Tulsi->Pulte, etc for WORST and most destructive mini-Trump.
😳 RFK Jr's epic CNN crashout 😳 Dana Bash pressed RFK Jr on Trump's culpability for mishandling covid and the misinformation he pushes about vaccines, and the segment wound down with him getting mad and barking at her like a rabid dog Here's the full thing:
Voters: “Please lower grocery prices like you promised.” Trump:
struck by this clip of Josh Johnson standup: he doesn't really develop the theme, no real punchlines. he just says what people have been complaining about re: The Odyssey and everyone laughs for *3 minutes* because a professional comedian *could not improve upon it* www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKcv...
Some people were so mad about the casting of The Odyssey

The three countries with the largest number of wind turbines is 1. China. 2. United States. 3. Germany.
Trump: "Any time you see windmills, you see a failing country"
Among the worst ideas floating around is that "the free market" will naturally achieve desirable results for society. No, it won't, not even in theory, much less in practice. Markets don't optimize "good for society" unless you make them.
Turns out that food companies were only checking their food because the government told them to, which is exactly why we need government regulations.
Plain and simple my politics is that nobody should be wealthy enough to make their insecurities my problem.
