Because it apparently needs to be said: I have never fucking used the AI/LLM/chatbot/plagiarism machine and I never fucking will. If you use it, I think you're a bad person.

"Although the lockdowns were now some years ago I do feel that we haven't really reflected on how marginalised communities were affected and how normal, everyday working class people were ultimately hit the hardest." A Lockdown Tale is out now! #BookSky

Sadly I've given up on Free Food For Millionaires. I'm so disappointed as I absolutely loved Pachinko, but FFfM just isn't hitting the same. The characters are bland and flat, they're really interesting. Especially the main character, Casey - she is neither likeable nor interesting.

You can get all three of my Yorkshire-based books on kindle for £9.97. Less than a tenner! You'll be saying "'OW MUCH!?" but with joy, not shock. And you don't have to go through Amazon or any of that nonsense. Proper Yorkshire that.

Fancy a bit of Yorkshire-based literature this Yorkshire Day? You've come to the right place! The Ones We Fear is a folk horror based in a small village just outside Hull. The less you know, the better: srlpublishing.co.uk/product/the-...

Finally saw The Odyssey, and my main thoughts are: - lots of women undersold, a classic Nolan case of 'there are also women in this film' - Odysseus was a piece of shit, it's a shame how much Nolan made him a hero - Telemachus was useless and annoying wasn't he? - big horse 1/?

Congratulations to all on the Booker longlist. I'm even more excited to read Switzy now, Emma Cline is such a talent and I'm sure the book is brilliant. I just can't believe I have to wait to get my hands on it 😭
