Perpetually tired award winning writer. Queer. Disabled. Always asks for the aux. Horror, humour, craft beer, fragrance and photography. America's sweetheart 1984-1992. She/Her

Gods help me, I was so sleep deprived last night that I ordered a Johnny the Homicidal Maniac fan zine because honestly the art looks really good and while I don't regret it, I'm cringing at my past self for how into those comics I was lol

My big comics take that apparently isn't shared much is that I actually enjoyed Lanterns and it inspired me to look up some Green Lantern trades that are more dark murder mystery and less cosmic space opera. Far Sector should arrive tomorrow and then I'll tuck into the Gibbons Green Lantern Corps.

The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.

THE CLANS HEIR IS A TRANS WOMAN (2013) is like Steven Seagal decided to Write/Direct/Star in a love letter to his trans friends, but it looks and feels like every action movie he's made... except Hitoshi Ozawa is way way way way cooler than Seagal.

So...the covid-conscious lesbian bar. I think it's a sign of how a hyper-local confrontation can get picked up by a culture war grifter and expose it to a mainstream platform that is primed for culture war content. And how social justice language can easily be coopted to be abusive.

Me: I made too much spaghetti. That'll make great leftovers! My scheming eunuch: My empress...leaving such a delicacy away from your sight invites your enemies to make an attempt on your life. Surely it would be better if you ate all of it? Me: Hmmm...

"I really enjoyed forgetting. When I first come to a place, I notice all the little details. I notice the way the sky looks. The color of white paper. The way people walk. Doorknobs. Everything. Then I get used to the place and I don't notice those things anymore."
