Read Batman Annual #11 which contains a really awesome Alan Moore story about Preston Payne the third Clayface who after trying to save his wife in a fire becomes delirious and camps out in a department store as he believes a mannequin to be said wife. Great horror adjacent story big recommend!
15 years ago today Miles Morales debuted in Ultimate Fallout 4 it completely changed my life. Getting to write for Miles was one of the highlights of my life & career & I’ll be forever be thankful for getting to leave my mark. Anyone can wear the mask yall & don’t you ever forget it!

Ultimate Venom is lowkey dogshit same goes for Kraven actually come to think of it I barely like any of the villains in USM more than the originals. Even the well written ones like Green Goblin have a worse design so it's hard to prefer him.
Robin - Is Creative Sometimes@robinofgaia.bsky.social · 2d agoI'll take this opportunity to do my unpopular opinion of I don't like how USM (2000) Redid certain characters to the point where when someone recommends it as a starter run I get unnerved by the fact they'll see less interesting versions of Eddie, MJ and Kraven etc
grimly funny that in The Dark Knight, Batman’s city-wide surveillance is the moral crucible, the point at which he has clearly gone too far, while in Brand New Day it’s just something that Spider-Man does.

Mass surveillance really be the constant in media these days
I think it could be really cool to see a superhero movie that's framed like a biopic. Could even be diagetic. Tell the story of a superhero over the course of their life and we see them over many years and finish with their death.
New Yorkers just coming together cause Spider-Man is their friendly neighbourhood hero is just so perfect
I've seen a "the MCU is so back" reaction to a few films now Deadpool & Wolverine Thunderbolts, Wonder Man and now Spider-Man I might even throw in FF to this I think it's trucking along as a smaller franchise than back in the 2010s but still doing its thing
