if your city is in this list, write to/call every single one of your representatives and make it clear that you don't live there to have a lawless, out-of-town gang drive away tourists and take up valuable parking space that could go both travelers and locals alike. I'll be doing the same soon

ICE posted an RFI for over 1,000 "surge parking" spaces in 14 cities across the nation. While the posting doesn't state a specific time, it could indicate increased presence in those cities in the near future. sam.gov/workspace/co...

furry has always been built around community artists, and that includes cover illustrators, narrators, editors, and writers. we've been anti AI from day one plus, we don't make you pay dues! or get our name used by shitty editors to "prove" their contracts are good, actually!

@ mainstream writers: you can join the Furry Writer's Guild, y'know. Absolutely no AI, no platforming assholes who're selling AI services. We got our own anthologies and an award and everything! And you most likely have already published a story that qualifies :)

The SCREEN Act just failed to pass in the Senate Commerce Committee! 🎉 Enormous thanks to the thousands (!!) of you who told your Senators to vote no! Your voice matters and you should feel good that you made a difference. Obviously, the fight isn't over, but this was an important victory.

"The Fall of the Tiger: the 'De Casibus Tigris' of Kabelard" is some semi-epistolary, queer, sword and sorcery/cosmic horror that'll be coming later this year from @doppelfoxxpublishing.com, but you can read preview chapters on SubscribeStar: subscribestar.art/werewolfhitc... #WriterShareWednesday

There is, or was, a ultimate creator entity, but nobody's seen or heard from him/them/it in so long that nobody has any idea if he/they/it had a name. Firiel, as one of the Elder Gods, is one of the only five beings still around who ever met him/them/it. #MythAugust

#MythAugust 5 Today is about hierarchy! Who ranks highest or lowest among your gods/spirits/whatever? Is there a consensus about this ranking? As usual, interpret the question as loosely as you need to to fit your specific worldbuilding, and feel free to skip if it's not relevant to you! 😊❤️

#MythAugust prompt for Aug 5:
Let's talk hierarchy! Which of your deities are more powerful/respected? Are there minor deities who serve the big ones?

Okay, I'm too excited to wait any longer. My long awaited book Spectrum is out now thanks to Bewere books! If you're looking for a fun black and queer furry anthology that covers a broad range of LGBT characters then this book is especially for you, check it out! #furryliterature #queer #books

Navigating the turbulent early 2010's music industry, queer wild-dog front man Darius Davis shows us the highs, lows, and experiences of it all in "Spectrum." Out now from Bewere Books: bewere.net/product.php?...

The closest thing to a faction you'll encounter in @maresolatiumvn.bsky.social is that the God and Goddess of Time/Eternity do not approve of, or get along with, the Moon Goddess, mostly because she's one of the only people who ever got the better of them. #MythAugust

#MythAugust 4 Today, tell me about the different factions among your gods/spirits. Think like the Æsir & Vanir in Norse mythology, or angels & demons in Christianity. What's their relationship? Are they sworn enemies? Sometimes allies? Interpret the question however makes sense for your story!

I think a god is, at bottom, a natural force or phenomenon whose actions are reinterpreted as those of a person. People tend crops, crops need rain, so The Rain God therefore cares about crops and tends them. So I'd argue that becoming a god makes something MORE moral, not less. #MythAugust

#MythAugust 3 What kind of moral code do your fantasy gods or spirits follow, if any? Do they share similar moral values to the people, or is their sense of morality completely alien? Do they even do "morality" at all? As usual, interpret as you wish and don't forget to interact with others! ☺️

#MythAugust prompt for Aug 3:
How does your deities' sense of morality align with that of people? I.e. are they moral, immoral, amoral, a mix...?

What can you do? CALL. WRITE. SCREAM. The bill is up for a vote THIS WEDNESDAY. Call your Senator. Dem. Republican. Whomever. Right now, it's a solid R bill, but they're looking for Dems to take it across the finish line. Let them know how badly it stinks. www.defendonlineprivacy.com/screen/
