When people die and the media says they had “pre-existing conditions”… they’re pacifying the public. Anyone could die from Cyclosporiasis, but they want you to believe it can’t happen to you. It can only happen to the weak, the disabled, the elderly. The expendable people. Eugenics.

Two Deaths Linked to Cyclospora Outbreak in Michigan

The patients had “significant underlying health conditions” that may have contributed to their deaths, health officials said.

Black people are giving it these Confederates raw and uncut. This is how it’s gonna be now. You wonder what we’re thinking? It’s this. I believe this is activist Gary Chambers again in Louisiana.

That’s me on the phone with ACLU attorney Weston Rowland. After Weston came down to help- he also got arrested. The LAPD arresting an ACLU attorney- who also does work for the LA Press Club- is truly an unfathomable escalation.

A Los Angeles police officer cited @shoton35mm.bsky.social, Investigative Reporter with @lataco.bsky.social for allegedly stepping into the roadway during May Day protests outside the MDC. "If you don't sign, you go to jail," one officer told Ray as he handed him a citation.

I've talked about Substack (& closed platforms in general) a lot over the years, but *this* was the most fired up I've gotten; I think it's because @anamariecox.bsky.social + @mike-eagle.bsky.social set such an amazing tone for the conversation. I'm so glad with how this came out. Please do listen!

If your friends on Substack don't want to read any of the long essays and articles about The Substack Problem, send them this @anildash.com explainer video. (From his @pastduepodcast.com interview.) It's not just Nazis, it really isn't. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWdS...

Hey, look at Substack promoting Andrew Tate as the #1 new bestseller. The company's amoral leadership & backers will platform anyone, even ludicrously toxic rapists & human traffickers.

a screenshot of the "New Bestsellers" list from Substack, with Andrew Tate in the #1 position

SubStack 👇🏼👎🏻👎🏻 Just an FYI: I got two emails from SubStack promoting white nationalist organizations so unsubscribed to all and I will never click on a link to SubStack. I'm really small potatoes, but I'm not going to help normalize Nazi stuff.
