The coolest thing about Nolan is that he's a movie nerd. One of the best sequences in The Odyssey is the Hades stuff. Elliot Page is remarkable in it, and the whole thing is unabashedly inspired by the 1985 Soviet anti-war masterpiece "Come & See". War is hell…
I re-watched TENET last night and today, a Sunday, I’m off to see ODYSSEY again at an 11am screening. I hope Christopher Nolan appreciates how hard I’m working here.

It’s a Nolan summer. Revisiting what is truly one of his best: TENET! Ironically, it came out at the wrong time. But now that time has passed, it has aged like very fine wine for a film about time travel.

The scene in ‘Once’ when he plays a song for his dad, and then when he’s done there’s a pause, and it’s hard to know what the dad is thinking, but then he goes “…it’s fucking brilliant” bursting full of parental pride and wonder. Oh Glen Hansard.
