Care to my trans & gender diverse friends in the UK who are navigating the discriminatory code of practice that came into force today. The code is wrong, harmful, and part of a broader campaign to treat trans and gender diverse people as second-class citizens and push them out of public life.
I try not to comment on out of state races too much, but one of the most baffling political interactions I had this year was with a table of people promoting Sawant’s House campaign…in Red Wing, Minnesota.

The van, and everything in it, is funded by federal money that has been suddenly revoked, as the government reroutes grants from nonprofits to state health agencies.

The WNBA has never had a trans woman play in the league’s 30-year history and now the right and other anti-trans activists are hammering the league over something that has never been an issue, proving once again it isn’t about protection but exhibiting cruelty toward trans people.
There were 8 players spanning 5 decades and multiple levels of skill at our neighborhood basketball court this evening. One of them was trans. Nobody cared. We all had fun. This is how it should be.
I hope Minnesotans are ready for the level of anti-trans sports ads we’re going to be swimming in this fall. It wasn’t an accident that Riley Gaines flew in *here* to hang with Senate candidate Michelle Tafoya for the Lynx game. Let’s show up for inclusion on the court and at the ballot box.

I have been weighing what more to say on the news continuing to unfold about St. Paul's mayor. There are layers here, but as a St. Paul resident, as someone who has worked with the Mayor, and as someone who has frequently experienced harassment; I hope the Mayor seriously considers stepping aside.
If you say you care about women's sports and the first thing on your lips is about trans women, you do not care about women's sports. You care about having a vehicle through which to concern troll and launder your transphobia. Full stop.
Last night I got hate on my after hours voicemail, tonight it was a heartfelt thank you from a community member. Sometimes the universe balances itself out in beautiful ways.
