It’s bad. Ukraine is still effectively hitting both inside Russia and occupied Crimea almost daily, but Putin (as usual) is targeting population centers instead of legitimate military targets.

(she/her) ETA against fascism, looks like it's going to be a lot of politics. GAH! Momma, neurospicy, pagan, writer, progressive, designer, coffee drinking, LGBTQ+, book obsessed, geeky gal with a side of glitter goth…nice to meet you.
My favorite posts by politicians are policy and action posts, followed very closely by engagement with the community posts…okay, maybe it's a tie.
@jamestalarico.bsky.social for Texas US Senate gets it - under his opponent Ken Paxton and Gov. Abbott, data centers are running amok in TX. Talarico has a sensible plan to regulate data centers. Texas, he is the right choice for your next senator, not the corrupt, 15 home owning Paxton.
El-Sayed: There is so much more that unites us, however much we might disagree with our democratic opponent, there is so much more that unites us than divides us. And so to all of our supporters here tonight watching on TV—tomorrow, we begin to mend fences.
A paramilitary group plotted to overthrow the Constitution then conducted a violent attack on America. They were convicted in court of seditious conspiracy, and jailed. Then the leader they aimed to illegally install got power and let them out, their records wiped clean. The Jan. 6 attackers won.
Judge Pained as He Grants Dismissal of Jan. 6 Charges Against Oath Keepers
The judge, Amit P. Mehta, blasted the administration’s request for a dismissal in the case, saying it bestowed “unearned grace” on the Oath Keepers defendants “by wiping their records clean.”

Congratulations to the law firms working beyond overtime to keep us from falling off the edge. You all are epic and my gratitude can not be stated enough. Thank you, thank you!
Notice DOJ doesn't talk about its efforts to obtain state voter files anymore. They are 0-20 in those cases and today is the beginning of the quiet period -- states can no longer do systematic removals of names from the voter rolls. TLDR: We won!🥳
💙 Exactly how a primary end should go when we're entering such a contentious race in November. How many more primaries do we have? Feels like we're getting too close to the actual election for them, despise how legacy media is spinning it to divide us, and I'm beyond ready to focus on November.
A gracious concession: “I want to congratulate Abdul El-Sayed on winning the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. He is a doctor, a community health official, a Rhodes Scholar, and a dedicated Michigander. I am proud to offer my support as he takes on Mike Rogers in the general election…
Story of many many Americans lives.. the medical stuff shouldn’t be political But somehow that has become Toxic too????
El-Sayed: "My commitment to Jewish safety is the same commitment that I have to the safety of my own daughters. Because if there is one question of political philosophy that ought to animate us all, it's what would we do if we treated all our kids like they were all of our kids?"

Kind of bitter we got the Black Mirror type Tech Bros instead of the Star Trek brilliant, thriving toward post-scarcity society type. 😒
"saudi arabia owns EA" is going to be the headline you see basically everywhere for this one but "jared kushner is about to use EA as a vehicle for trump administration bribes" is equally relevant imo

Survivors have been on Capitol Hill for months, courageously sharing their stories and demanding accountability. The Senate must listen. Todd Blanche is unfit to serve as our next Attorney General. Every Senator should vote NO.
The founders are calling. They suggest you read the damn Constitution.
Cornyn: "There's nothing we could do to rein in the president"
Gill: All 100 senators last week passed a non-binding resolution condemning any pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell. They're simultaneously considering confirming the guy who met with her and moved her to a low-security facility as the top cop in the United States. That is so insane to me.
Should be an easy no vote considering: •Epstein survivors came out directly against the nomination •his sweetheart, puppy deal to Maxwell •acting as DT lawyer before the nation's interest •referral for judicial discipline after the anti-weaponization/DT tax dodging deal… And so much more corruption.
If we weren't so broken, divided and led by corrupt rapists, this would be the biggest story of the week. But barely a blip. apnews.com/article/trum...
Trump accounts were closed in 2021 due to concerns over possible money laundering, Capital One says
Capital One closed President Donald Trump’s accounts in mid-2021 after flagging financial activity that resembled money laundering.

Call me crazy, but if a Democratic president had 350 accounts closed by their bank for money laundering it’d be more than a blip in the media
Desperately hoping there are people within the left-leaning parties that are looking forward and planning on what to do between Nov and Jan—especially if there are big blue wins. After the devastating lack of response, planning, and defense from the 2024 election…I worry.

Tillis said Blanche had to meet with Epstein survivors. The survivors said he was condescending, rude & constantly interrupted them. They said he was just checking a box. Tillis wants slush fund order modified & IRS settlement gone. Blanche creates a sham order. Tillis wants performative nonsense.
FYI: Blanche rescinded the ORDER establishing the slush fund, not the underlying “settlement.” The settlement says any changes must be agreed to by ALL parties, not just Todd. This “rescission” isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.
