Here's the way I think of Cannon's intervention. First, it makes it more likely 11th C will rule against her. Nauta and DeOliveira REALLY do have a legal claim here. But no one in 11th C has a legal claim on the DC case. And I also think it more likely it'll be resolved in more interesting ways.

Trump is systematically seeking to minimize the crime of sex abuse by nominating so many associated with sexual abuse to top jobs. He is seeking to further institutionalize the core mantra of MAGA "men," "Your body, my choice." The nominations are themselves therefore a form of sex abuse.
